Scientific blow-ups on panels
The details of the invisible world are celebrated in this assortment of more than 30 black and white images, shades of gray or artificial colors, selected from the thousands acquired by CNR ISTEC researchers using the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) during their daily research activity.
The images are printed on very light panels and are accompanied by labels showing the title, author, year of execution of the photo and provide a simple scientific explanation of the content.
The exhibition ranges from ceramic nanoparticles, to geopolymers, to nanostructured coatings and by exploring laboratory samples on a micrometric or nanometric scale, revealing almost sci-fi landscapes, capable of stimulating the most fervent imagination.
