We are very pleased to announce that our post-doctoral Marie Curie Fellow, Irini Furxhi, has won the award for Best Oral Presentation at Materials Week 2024, the leading scientific conference in Europe promoting the Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) approach to the design of advanced materials and chemicals. Irini presented the ASINA project roadmap (https://www.asina-project.eu/), coordinated by ISSMC and recently concluded, showcasing the workflow and results achieved in implementing the SSbD approach to the design of nanostructured antimicrobial textile coatings.
