Functions
- Management of library collections: cataloguing, location, loan, etc..
- Subscriber management and access to magazines and books (printed and/or on-line).
- Managing of the catalogue of publications of ISTEC.
Rules
The regulation adopted is part of the «Rules of the Central Library of the CNR», and «Organic regulations of the state public libraries», published, respectively, in the Official Gazettes G.U. n.274 Serie Generale of 23.22.1987 and G.U. n.116 Supplemento Ordinario of 08.05.1968.
The Library, with all its services, is open to external users by appointment with the Library contact person every working day from 9 to 13 and from 15 to 17.
Facilities
- Research network of periodicals and monographs.
- Catalogue of journals with an indication of the issues held.
- Monographs loan (allowed only to ISTEC permanent staff).
- Access to databases and/or electronic bibliographic resources (to be agreed with the Library contact point).
- Copy of the bibliographic material in agreement with the current law on copyright.
- NILDE is an electronic service, that allows the articles’ exchange between libraries. It has been created and developed by the CNR’s Library of Bologna, and it is currently used by more than 700 Italian libraries of universities and research centers. - Both monographs and journals are available through the system GECA (Catalog Manager) organized by the Service for Scientific Documentation of the Research Area of CNR of Genova.
- MONOGRAPHS: the users can search the monographs held by ISTEC.
- PERIODICALS: the users can search all magazines subscripted (or not) owned by ISTEC (Document delivery service available).
- ON-LINE MAGAZINES : the users can search the list of all magazines subscripted through the Research Area of CNR of Bologna (Document delivery service available).
