ISTEC is then constantly grown in the field of new materials and applications for innovation in various industrial sectors. The ISTEC activities fit the mission of the National Research Council of Italy, addressing research, initiatives to support training, exploitation and dissemination of results.
The research activities are directed to the innovation of materials and processes in response to the emerging needs of the industrial, scientific and cultural, in the various fields of application. The topics range from the basic study and characterization of raw materials and materials, development and innovation of processes. The purpose of the studies is the control of properties and performance of devices via control of the process and the engineering of materials for specific applications. Through the design of new processes, including nanotechnology, new materials and solutions proposed to modify traditional products and also providing them with new features and performance are engineered and developed
