The project aims to develop 4 products for reparative medicine, focusing on the stem cells and endogenous precursors recruitment and on controlling inflammation and tissue hypoxia. The project combines biomaterials and drugs already on the market, to optimize a polypharmacy of orphan therapy conditions or whose therapy is unsatisfactory. CNR-ISTEC will deal with the development of innovative electroconductive materials that can support nervous regeneration and it will develop controlled drug/growth factor release systems to limit the primary damage of acute spinal cord injury.
