Frequency Response Analyzer
Supervisor: Carlo Baldisserri
A combined system consisting of a Newtons4th Ltd PSM3750 Phase Sensitive Multimeter and an IAI2 Impedance Analysis Interface is used in the Laboratory to perform high-accuracy impedance and frequency response analysis measurements, over the 10 µHz – 50 MHz frequency range. An IAI Kelvin Fixture is also available to improve measurements accuracy at the highest frequencies. The system can either be managed using Newtons4th Ltd proprietary software or under the control of customized NI LabVIEW applications using the instrument’s IEEE 488 (GPIB) parallel interface, allowing flexible programming, increased data download speed, and integration in complex measuring systems. The system is mainly used for dielectric and piezoelectric resonance characterizations of the ceramic and piezoceramic materials produced in ISSMC-CNR.
