Mechanical properties
The Mechanical Property Laboratory is an instrumental laboratory which includes a set of suitable equipment
to the development and characterization of the individual mechanical properties.
It is equipped with universal machines for mechanical tests to carry out tests (e.g. bending, tensile or compression) up to 1500°C.
There are also hardness testers, microdurometers and nanoindenters that allow us to evaluate the properties of hardness at the various applied load scales.
The laboratory is equipped with a non-contact interferometric profilometer.
In addition there is a semi-automatic precision cutting machine that allows you to make particular samples for the determination, for example, of the fracture toughness of the materials.
In addition to these instruments, the Laboratory is equipped with optical microscopes including one of the latest generation, high performance digital.
